Xinyue Steel Group has recently completed the production of a batch of S690QL quenched and tempered steel plates for a shipyard project in Turkey. The cargo is now ready for shipment and is expected to arrive in June 2026.
The project adopts EN10025-6 S690QL (Q+T), featuring high yield strength and excellent low-temperature toughness, making it suitable for critical ship structures while enabling thickness reduction and optimized design.
Key controls during execution include:
· Pre-production technical alignment with leading domestic mills, with signed technical agreements to ensure standardized production;
· Strict heat treatment control to guarantee stable mechanical properties;
· Dimensional and flatness control for plates up to 12 meters;
· Inspection and packaging optimization for long-distance shipment.
