Emplacement du projet:DN15MM – DN1800MM
Application:Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (WRP)
The Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) comprises a 206km-long network of deep tunnels that convey used water entirely via gravity to three centralize water reclamation plants located in Changi, Kranji et Tuas. The treated used water is then reclaimed and further purified into NEWater, with excess effluent discharged to the sea in an environmentally responsible manner.
Costing around $10 billion and designed to last for 100 ans, the DTSS is an example of long-term water infrastructure planning and investment to benefit multiple generations. Due to its scale and complexity, the construction of DTSS had to be carried out in two phases.
Phase 2 of the DTSS involves the construction of a 98km-long network of deep tunnels and link sewers, as well as the future Tuas Water Reclamation Plant. These new infrastructure components extend the DTSS network to serve the western half of Singapore, including the downtown area and upcoming developments such as Tengah Town and Jurong Lake District.
Tunneling works for DTSS Phase 2 concluded in August 2023.
A key component of DTSS Phase 2 is the future Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (WRP), which will be equipped with advanced technology to treat two separate streams of domestic and industrial used water in an energy-efficient manner. When ready in 2026, Tuas WRP will be co-located with NEA’s Integrated Waste Management Facility to form Tuas Nexus, Singapore’s first integrated used water and solid waste treatment facility that will be fully energy self-sufficient.
The Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) Phase II extends the tunnel system to the west of Singapore through a 30 km long south tunnel, 70 km of link sewers, the Tuas WRP and a 12 km deep-sea outfall. The DTSS is a massive integrated project being developed by the Public Utilities Board (PUB) in Singapore to meet the island country’s long-term clean water needs through the collection, treatment, reclamation and disposal of used water from industries, homes and businesses. The construction drawings of this project are complex and the product technical requirements are strict. Dans ce projet, Xinyue successfully supplied different EPC companies with its professional and rich project experience. It has accumulated a very high reputation in Singapore.
